The Partido Nacional de Honduras (PNH; National Party of Honduras ) is a Honduran party .

The color of the PNH is blue. The main rival is the Partido Liberal de Honduras with the color red. All elections in the history of Honduras have been dominated by the struggle between these two parties. The PNH ruled the country between 1933 and 1957.

Elections 2001

In the parliamentary elections in Honduras 2001 on November 25, 2001, the PNH achieved 46.5% of the vote and 61 of the 128 seats in parliament (Congreso Nacional) . The PNH candidate Ricardo Maduro was elected president with 52.2%.

2005 elections

In the parliamentary elections in Honduras in 2005 on November 27, 2005, the PNH lost its majority and had to go into the opposition. It had 55 of the 128 seats in parliament. In the presidential election, too, the PNH candidate Porfirio Lobo Sosa had to admit defeat to Manuel Zelaya with 46.2% of the vote .

Elections 2009

In the general election in Honduras in 2009 on November 29, 2009, the PNH again achieved a majority in parliament. Porfirio Lobo Sosa was elected as the PNH candidate for President of Honduras.

Elections 2013

In the general election in Honduras in 2013 in November 2013, the PNH became the strongest party in parliament with 48 out of 128 seats. Juan Orlando Hernández was elected as the PNH candidate for President of Honduras.
