Presidential and parliamentary elections in Honduras 2013

The 2013 presidential and parliamentary elections in Honduras took place on November 24th. Juan Orlando Hernández won the presidential election ahead of Xiomara Castro , the wife of former President Manuel Zelaya , who was ousted in 2009 .

Since a simple majority is sufficient under the Honduran constitution, Hernández was elected.
