Salvador Alejandro César Nasralla Salum (born January 30, 1953 in Tegucigalpa ) is a Honduran journalist and politician of the so-called anti - corruption party .

Life

Nasralla was born to Arab Christians from Palestine . His mother Alicia Salum was born in Chile . Nasralla studied industrial engineering and administration at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile . For six years he was General Manager for Pepsi-Cola in Honduras. At the National Autonomous University of Honduras , he taught as a university lecturer in the field of industrial engineering. Nasralla has been a journalist on Honduran television since 1981. In the 2013 presidential election he was defeated by the Honduran incumbent Juan Orlando Hernández . In the 2017 presidential election, he was again narrowly defeated by the Honduran incumbent Juan Orlando Hernández.

Salvador Nasralla has been married to the almost 40 years younger former Honduran beauty queen Iroshka Elvir (* 1991) since 2016 . In December 2017, he became a father for the first time at the age of 64. He lives with his family in Tegucigalpa.
