Partido de Acción Democrática

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Partido de Acción Democrática (German: Party of Democratic Action ) was a Spanish political party with a social democratic orientation.

It was founded by Francisco Fernández Ordóñez in January 1982 and brought together 17 members who had left the Unión de Centro Democrático (UCD) in November 1981 . The new party took part in the parliamentary elections in 1982 in the list of the Partido Socialista Obrero Español (PSOE). It disbanded on January 23, 1983, and its activists joined the PSOE.

Individual evidence

  1. The daily El País noted on January 24, 1983 that the party had disbanded because it understood that the PSOE had already occupied its place in the political spectrum.
