The Parua Bay is a bay in Whangarei Harbor on the North Island of New Zealand .
geography
The Parua Bay is located in the northeastern part of the Whangarei Harbor s, 12 km south-east of the center of Whangarei . The bay extends over a length of 4.5 km and reaches 2.8 km deep inland, with a shoreline of around 17 km.
At the entrance to the bay there is an island 450 m long and 200 m wide along the direction of the current and in the bay itself there are five small rock islands. The small settlement that is located in the bay bears the name of the bay.
