Scheme of the passage Tombs

The Passage Tomb of Gormanston (also known as Knocknagin) is located in the hamlet of Delvin Bridge in a field between the "Main Road" and the railway line, north of the mouth of the Delvin River in the Irish Sea in the south of County Meath in Ireland . The remains of the Passage Tombs are the only ones of a larger grave field to some extent preserved. Some curbs surround a flattened hill that is more than 30.0 m in diameter.

Other monuments that perched on a ledge nearby have fallen on Knocknagin Beach as the sea eroded the cliffs on the coast. Across the River Delvin, about a mile to the east, were the passage tombs of Bremore, a complex of at least five memorials. The region is of particular importance as its monuments may be contemporary with those of Carrowmore or Carrowkeel in County Sligo, and thus older than the great Tombs passage in Boyne Valley .
