Patrice Hauret

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Patrice Hauret (* 1977 ) is a French applied mathematician who studies numerical methods in mechanics.

Hauret studied at the École Polytechnique , where he received his doctorate in 2004 under Patrick Le Tallec ( Méthodes numériques pour la dynamique des structures non linéaires incompressibles à deux échelles , translation: Numerical methods for the dynamic analysis of non-linear, incompressible two-scale structures). In 2011 he completed his habilitation (Contributions to the dynamic analysis of multiscale structures) . He conducts research at Michelin in Scientific Computing .

He researches nonlinear solid mechanics, time integration methods, domain decomposition methods and multiscale methods, mixed methods such as mortar discretization and mechanical contact problems.

In 2016 he received the Felix Klein Prize .
