Patrick Gaubert

Patrick Gaubert (born July 6, 1948 in Paris ) is a French politician of the Gaullist Union pour un mouvement populaire (UMP).

Life

Gaubert studied dentistry.

From 2004 to 2009 Gaubert was a member of the European Parliament and was a member of the EPP-ED group . From 2004 to 2007 he was deputy chairman of the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs , and from 2004 to 2009 in the subcommittee on human rights . From 2004 to 2009 he was a member of the Delegation for relations with Israel and from 2005 of the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly . In 2006/07 he was a member of the Temporary Committee on the alleged use of European states by the CIA for the transport and illegal detention of prisoners .

From 1999 to 2010 he was President of the Ligue Internationale Contre le Racisme et l'Antisémitisme organization .
