The Patrick Manelly Award has been presented since 2019 for the best long snapper in the Football Bowl subdivision of college football . It was started by longtime NFL long snapper Patrick Manelly , agent Kevin Gold and coach Chris Rubio . The winner must be a senior , have started 75% of the games in their senior year, snap punts and kicks, and show a strong mentality, remarkable athleticism, and speed, accuracy, and consistency in their snaps.

The winner will be selected from a shortlist of ten semi-finalists or three finalists.
