Patristic study group

The Patristic Working Group was founded in Heidelberg in 1957 as a supplement to the International Conference on Patristic Studies , which was founded in 1951 by FL Cross in Oxford .

The PAG is an association of Protestant church historians from Germany , Austria , Switzerland and the Netherlands . Its members research the history of Christianity in the first few centuries. In addition to the Oxford conference, the PAG conference takes place every two years. Their results have been published since 1990 in the renowned Patristic Studies series by the Peeters publishing house in Leuven .
