Patrol leader was a military rank that only appeared in the Austro-Hungarian army . It was only used by the Kaiserjäger and the Feldjäger as well as the Landesschützen / Kaiserschützen and later the Standschützen and the cavalry. He corresponded to the private (ung. Őrvezetö) in the infantry or the foreman in the artillery and the machine gun troops.

As a rank badge ( distinction badge ) he wore a single white celluloid star on the grass-green stand-up collar with the tunic and on a grass-green base ( Paroli ) with the field blouse. In the case of the cavalry, these corresponded to the corresponding regulations on collar color.
