Paul Cohn (soccer player)

Paul Cohn (* 19th century ; † 20th century ) was a German football player .

Cohn is a founding member of the sports club SG Wattenscheid 09 , founded in 1909 , where he also acted as a defender . During the First World War he was awarded the Iron Cross 1st Class . On the 25th anniversary of the club, the Jewish soccer player could not get into the clubhouse because the new "club leader" was a member of the NSDAP and therefore "Jews were not wanted".

On August 20, 2014 the members of SG 09 Wattenscheid eV decided almost unanimously that the club's youth home should be renamed the Paul-Cohn-Haus.
