Paul & Richard Ehrlich

Paul & Richard Ehrlich were two German architects of Jewish descent who lived and worked in Breslau .

history

The brothers Paul (1870–1943) and Richard (1866–1942) were the sons of master mason Louis Ehrlich (1831–1913) and his wife Marie, b. Refuses to be born. Both sons attended the Maria-Magdalenen-Gymnasium in Breslau. Then Paul (and probably Richard) studied architecture at the Technical University (Berlin-) Charlottenburg . They were both deported to Theresienstadt concentration camp in 1942, where they were killed.

Most of the buildings were created in collaboration between the two brothers, but only one of the two is named for some objects.

Richard Ehrlich was also involved in the expansion of the large hall of the Breslau concert hall based on a design by Hans Poelzig .
