Paul Gogarty

Paul Nicholas Gogarty (born December 20, 1968 in Castlepollard , County Westmeath ) is an Irish politician and was a member of the Dáil Éireann , the lower house of the Irish Parliament , from 2002 to 2011 .

Gogarty joined the Green Party in 1989 and has been an active party member ever since. In 1999 he was elected to South Dublin County Council . Gogarty was first chosen for the Green Party in the Dáil Éireann in May 2002. He entered here in the constituency of Dublin Mid West . Following the politics of his party, he resigned his mandate in the South Dublin County Council after his election and was replaced by his party colleague Fintan McCarthy. May 2007 took place Gogartys re-election in the Dáil Éireann. In the next election in February 2011, however, he could not repeat this success.
