Paul Salamunovich
Paul F. Salamunovich (born June 7, 1927 in Redondo Beach , California , † April 3, 2014 in Sherman Oaks , California) was an American choir director , composer and university teacher.
He conducted the Los Angeles Master Chorals (1991–2001) and the St. Charles Borromeo Church (North Hollywood) (1949–2009). Salamunovich composed the choral film music for over 100 feature films and TV shows.
He has been honored several times for his commitment to Gregorian chant , including in 2013 with the Papal Cross of Honor Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice and in 1969 by Pope Paul VI. with the Officer's Cross of the Order of Gregorius .
