Paul Tschudin

Paul Tschudin (* 1904 in Basel ; † 1986 ) was a Swiss writer .

Tschudin lost both parents at the age of four and then grew up with his grandparents in Lausen BL . He completed an apprenticeship as a locksmith and later worked in locomotive construction and later as a panel builder in Basel. After working temporarily for the BBC , his interest in the labor movement broke out at a rather old age. Tschudin received the literature prize of the “Werkstatt Arbeiterkultur” for his debut Notes from a Simple Soldier . Shortly before his death, his biography was published, My honor is not yours! .
