Paula Scherleitner (* 1897 in Linz ; † December 29, 1978 there ) was an Austrian physician. She was the director of the Linz General Hospital , Vice President of Upper Austria . Medical Association and Upper Austria. Red Cross.

After studying medicine, Paula Scherleitner began working as a doctor at the Linz General Hospital. In 1933 she was promoted to head of the X-ray Institute, but was dismissed the following year for political reasons. After the Second World War , she was appointed director of the General Hospital in May 1945. Thanks to their commitment, the hospital now began a great rise, as Scherleitner, in addition to repairing the damage caused by the war, primarily endeavored to expand the medical-technical facilities.

Scherleitner was one of the founding members of the Austrian Society for Radiology and was a member of the State Medical Council. From 1945 to 1950 she was also Vice President of Upper Austria.
