Pavel Hak
Pavel Hak (* 1962 in Tábor , Czechoslovakia , now the Czech Republic ) is a Czech writer who writes in French. He lives in Paris .
Life
At fifteen, the son of an electrician began working in a factory. As a young man he fled on his own via Yugoslavia, initially to Italy , where he lived illegally for a while. In 1985 he came to France and studied philosophy at the Sorbonne . So far he has published the three novels "Safari", "Sniper", "Trans" and the play "Lutte à mort". As Hak's only book to date, »Sniper« has also been translated into English. A German translation of "Trans" was published in 2008.
