Pavel Smutný
Pavel Smutný (born February 9, 1975 in Brno , Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech composer .
Life
He studied at Masaryk University in Brno and graduated in 2008 with a thesis on Black Jazz and the Silver Screen . 1998–99 he composed the Missa Heroica for the beatification of Franz Jägerstätter (Missa Heroica for soloists, mixed choir, 2 trumpets, 2 trombones, kettledrum and organ). The world premiere took place on October 26, 2001 in the parish church of Braunau. The chamber opera "Mysterium Fidei - Franz Jägerstätter" was premiered in March 2004 at the Czech National Theater in Prague .
