Pavle Branović

Pavle Branović was the son of Bran, Prvoslav's brother .

He ruled as the Serbian Grand Župan from around 917 to 921 and was initially a vassal of Bulgaria . The Byzantine favorite Zaharije Prvosavljević he handed over to the Bulgarians. When Pavle Branović turned from the Bulgarians to Byzantium, he was overthrown by Tsar Simeon of Bulgaria and installed instead of his Zaharije Prvosavljević.
