Pavel Grigoryevich Tager

Pawel Grigoryevich Tager ( Russian Павел Григорьевич Тагер ; born October 1, 1903 in Moscow , † June 30, 1971 ibid) was a Soviet inventor in the field of talkies .

In March 1928 Pawel Tager presented a sound recording device suitable for film work. In September of the same year, the Leningrad engineer Alexander Shorin presented an improved device. This invention was used in 1931 in the first Soviet sound film Der Weg ins Leben by director Nikolai Ekk .

Tager was awarded the State Prize of the USSR , the Order of Lenin and other awards.
