Pearl Island is a small island off the southwest coast of Stewart Island in southern New Zealand . The uninhabited island has a diameter of about 3 km and is separated from Stewart Island by the northern arm of Port Pegasus Bay . It is part of the Rakiura National Park . The southwestern neighbor island is Anchorage Island .
