Pedal increase

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pedal increase , pedal lengthening or pedal adaptation is a term from the technology for motor vehicle adaptation for physically handicapped people . This describes the height adjustment of standard passenger car pedals (for gas , brakes and clutch). This is used in particular to make the pedals available as standard in the vehicle usable for small people .

execution

Technically, the pedal adjustment is usually carried out using additional parts that have been mounted on it. Through the additional assembly instead of a real conversion, the original pedals of the automobile can be retained and thus, after a possible resale, also the usability by normal drivers. Instead of a fixed installation, the extension parts can also be attached individually or in blocks so that they can be removed to enable short-term use by other drivers. Product versions that can be folded aside are also offered for the same purpose.
