The Pedang-Lurus , also Pedang-Luwuk , is a sword from Indonesia .

description

The Pedang-Lurus has a straight, double-edged blade. The blades either have a central ridge or a hollow grind. Usually there is a back edge that runs about 25 cm from the place to the handle . Many of the blades are made from Indian cast damask (Wootz), others are of European origin. The hilt is made of wood, horn or metal and has a precisely worked parry that fits very precisely with the mouth of the scabbard. The scabbards are made of wood or metal and, like the rest of the weapon, are ornately decorated. There are different versions that vary in length, shape and features. The Pedang Lurus is used by ethnic groups in Indonesia. It's a version of the Pedang.
