Pedro Fernandes

Pedro Miguel Fernandes Costa (born November 20, 1977 ) is a former Portuguese cyclist .

Pedro Fernandes started his career in 2000 with the Portuguese cycling team Barbot-Torrie . In his first year he won two stages at the Volta ao Portugal do Futuro and was able to win the overall standings. The next year he won a stage at the Grand Prix PAD and another at the Volta ao Portugal do Futuro. In the 2003 season he drove for Cantanhede-Marques de Marialva , where he won the Circuito da Malveira, the Circuito da Moita and a stage at the Prémio Grande Porto. In 2004 Costa moved to ASC-Vila do Conde . In his first year there, he won a stage in the Troféu PAD. In 2005 he won a stage at the Grand Prix Vinhos da Estremadura and in 2006 one at the Grand Prix Abimota.
