Peel House

Peel House , formerly also Peel Hospital or Ashiestiel Hospital , is a mansion in the Scottish town of Ashiestiel in the Council Area Scottish Borders . In 1971 the structure was included in the Scottish monument lists in the highest monument category A.

The mansion is located on the southwest edge of Ashiestiel. It was built between 1904 and 1907 to a design by Scottish architects John Kinross and Harold Tarbolton . It later housed a hospital and was known under the names Peel Hospital and Ashiestiel Hospital . Peel House has the architectural features of the historicizing Scottish Baronial style .
