The Pelham Bay Bridge is a 1907 Scherzer system bascule rail bridge in Bronx , New York . It belongs to the Northeast Corridor (NEC) and runs over the Hutchinson River .
The speed is currently limited to 45 mph (72 km / h). Therefore, the bridge is to be demolished and replaced by a new high bridge.
