Pellegrino Turri

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pellegrino Turri was a noble Italian inventor who made a typewriter for the blind Countess Carolina Fantoni da Fivizzono in 1808 . Letters written on this machine have been preserved. The machine itself has not been preserved, and precise descriptions have not been transmitted. From the letters received, it can be seen that the machine worked with color paper and type printing.

Other early typewriter developers are Henry Mill , who patented a typewriter in 1714, or Karl Drais , who invented a typewriter for his blind father around 1821.
