Coordinates: 54 ° 37 ′  N , 2 ° 53 ′  W Penruddock is a place in the Lake District in north-west England . The name of the place should be derived from the Cumbrian language . Pen means mountain in Cumbrianand rhudd means red . The landscape east of Penruddock is still called the Redhills today. The place itself is, however, on a gray limestone visible in many places. Penruddock had a stop on the Cockermouth, Keswick and Penrith Railway .
