Percy Borucki

Percy Borucki (born July 22, 1929 in Katowice , Poland ) was a German saber fencer . He first fought in Poland, later immigrated to Germany and was active at DFC Düsseldorf, later at TuS Rei Koblenz and then at ETuF Essen. In 1964 and 1968 he took part in the Olympic Games, in 1962 he became German champion .

successes

Professionally, Borucki was a civil engineer and, before his arrival in Germany, fought in the Polish B national team in 1959 as a returnee of German origin. After moving to Germany, he was able to win several international tournaments, including the international saber tournament "Wappen von Hamburg" and three times the Corble Cub in London. He also took part in numerous international fights.

In 1962 he won the German championships in saber fencing, in 1967 he was second again. At the Olympic Games in 1964 and 1968 Borucki was a member of the men's saber team. In 1964, the team finished sixth, in 1968 it was seventh.
