Perfect Records was an American record label of the 1920s and 1930s and belonged to the American Record Corporation from 1929 .

history

Perfect Records was introduced for the US market by the French record label Pathé Records . In contrast to most records of the time, Perfect records were made with reddish shellac . In 1927, a series was created for the British market for a short time , which published recordings by the American and French Pathé labels. With a few exceptions, the UK releases mainly contained so-called “dance music” and jazz .

From 1929 Perfect belonged to the American Record Corporation (ARC), which was created from the merger of various American labels - including Pathé. ARC continued to produce records with the label until 1938. During this time, the appearance of the panels was changed from the flashy red / brown to blue. Since ARC was then dissolved, Perfect was also given up.
