The periguin was a unit of mass for gold and silver in Guinea . The Benda in gold trading 45.891 grams differs from the commercial weight-Benda.

  • 1 Periguin = 40 Ake = 2½ ounces (Guinean gold) = 1060.9 As (Dutch) = 50.99 grams
  • 9 periguin = 10 benda
  • 1 gold ounce = 16 Ake / Aki = 424.36 As (Dutch) = 20.396 grams
  • 1 Ake / Aki = 26.52 As (Dutch) = 1.275 grams
