Perilous Plunge was a water ride attraction in Knott's Berry Farm ( Buena Park , California , USA ) on the model Mega Splash the manufacturer Intamin , which opened on 15 September 2000th The runway was closed on September 3, 2012 and then dismantled.

The layout of the track was similar to an 8 . The cars, each with space for 24 people, were raised up a 37 meter high lift hill. Once at the top, the route made a U-shaped curve to the left before the cars drove down the 35-meter-high and 75-degree descent . Below they rest in an artificial lagoon with 2500 cubic meters of water. In order to shorten the braking distance, the cars were also braked with adjustable eddy current brakes. The brakes also made it possible to reduce the amount of water that was displaced when the boat hit.

High-performance pumps pumped around 150 cubic meters of water up the 37-meter-high lift per minute. The 35 meter high descent was 10 meters lower than the lowest point on Niagara Falls . At the time of its opening, the facility was the highest and steepest water slide in the world.
