Perilous Plunge was a water ride attraction in Knott's Berry Farm ( Buena Park , California , USA ) on the model Mega Splash the manufacturer Intamin , which opened on 15 September 2000th The runway was closed on September 3, 2012 and then dismantled.
The layout of the track was similar to an 8 . The cars, each with space for 24 people, were raised up a 37 meter high lift hill. Once at the top, the route made a U-shaped curve to the left before the cars drove down the 35-meter-high and 75-degree descent . Below they rest in an artificial lagoon with 2500 cubic meters of water. In order to shorten the braking distance, the cars were also braked with adjustable eddy current brakes.
