Periodonics

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The honorary title Periodonike was given in ancient Greek sport to athletes who managed to win the four Panhellenic Games within one round (Greek Periodos).

Forty- six athletes are said to have achieved this over the centuries, including the famous wrestler Milon von Kroton , who was awarded the title six times, the boxer Diagoras of Rhodes and his son Dorieus , triple periodonica as a pankratiast .
