The personal best time of an athlete is an evaluation criterion in which the athlete himself can determine and perceive an improvement, stagnation or deterioration in his athletic performance, regardless of the daily form . It is mainly in competitive sports present, provided that in a competition under time pressure must be completed.

The personal best time serves as a point for athletic orientation and, if necessary, an expansion or change of the modalities of a training, in particular the refining of the fighting technique.
