Staff association of public administrations of Liechtenstein

The Staff Association of Public Administrations of Liechtenstein ( PVL ) is a Liechtenstein staff association for the public service and represents the employees of the public services, especially the public administration and municipalities . The association's headquarters are in Vaduz . Thomas Klaus has been President of the Liechtenstein Public Administration Staff Association since 2005.

The staff association is a politically independent association to protect and promote the interests of its members.

history

The association grew out of the then civil servants' association in 2000 , as civil servants in Liechtenstein were abolished with the new State Personnel Act and the administration, particularly in terms of personnel legislation, was largely liberalized. The aim is and was, in particular, to establish and consolidate the rights of employees to participate in the public service in the Principality of Liechtenstein.

Structure and structure

The staff association (PVL) is legally organized as an association and is run on a grassroots basis. The governing bodies are the President and the Board of Directors. The PVL generally informs its members by means of personal information or via the Liechtenstein media. The degree of organization in public administration is between 55 and 65% of employees.

Membership is voluntary and the following natural persons can become full members of the PVL:

  • Government members, civil servants and employees of government agencies (including the public prosecutor, the judiciary and full-time judges)
  • Employees of the Presidium of the Landtag as well as employees of the offices and organizational units subordinate to the Landtag
  • Employees of the companies affiliated to the Liechtenstein State Administration
  • Employees of public law institutions
  • Local government employees.

The main tasks include:

  • Representation of the interests of the association towards the employer
  • Preparation of statements on all topics that affect the interests of the association
  • Promotion of participation, participation and shared responsibility
  • Periodic information for members
  • public relation
  • Cooperation with other professional organizations
  • Commissions (staff committee, equality, etc.)
  • Legal advice and assistance with any problems that may arise in connection with the employment relationship
