Pesau

Pesau , also Peschau , was a measure of weight in France , especially in the south of France.

The measure was a so-called chestnut measure, because it was used in the trade in chestnuts (chestnuts).

  • 1 pesau = 1 bushel (Saxon) (around 75 kilograms )
  • 1 pesau = 125 to 130 pounds (French)
