Peter Cárdenas Schulte

Peter Cárdenas Schulte (called Alejandro) was one of the leaders of the Peruvian organization Movimiento Revolucionario Túpac Amaru (MRTA).

Schulte was one of the most wanted terrorists in Latin America until his arrest and sat in a Peruvian high-security wing from 1992 to 2015. When the Japanese Embassy was occupied by the MRTA Commando Edgar Sanchez in 1996 , the liberation of Peter Cárdenas Schultes was one of the first main demands.

Schulte contacted his son Alejandro Cárdenas-A by letter. who then began to shoot the 2005 documentary Alias ​​Alejandro about his father. The film ends with a visit to the father in prison and is shot in the style of a road movie. The film was a thesis at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (dffb), the director received the Eberhard Fechner grant from VG Bild-Kunst in 2006 .
