Peter Christian Endler (born October 24, 1958 in Graz ) is an Austrian university professor, psychotherapist and group analyst .

Career

After receiving his doctorate in human biology at the University of Vienna in 1988 with a dissertation on the health habits of the very elderly, Endler initially worked at a Boltzmann Institute in Graz and at the University of Urbino in laboratory research on regulatory biology . In this subject he worked as a WHO expert, EU advisor and guest lecturer at the University of Exeter and received the venia docendi in the field of health sciences at the Universidad Azteca . With the help of an EU project on transparency in education for helping professions with a focus on salutogenesis , depth psychology and scientific work , he began researching and teaching in 2000 at the Inter-University College for Health and Development Graz / Seggau Castle, and graduated and doctoral candidates, etc. . a. on topics of therapist health.

After a second training from 2004 to psychoanalytic psychotherapist and group analyst according to Austrian psychotherapy law , and an additional doctorate in psychology, he began, first with caring relatives , then also with people after dementia diagnosis , depth psychology to work. He is a member of the Austrian Working Group for Group Therapy and Group Dynamics, Vienna and the International Group Analytic Society, London.

Trained as a biologist in quantitative research, he subsequently tested and standardized qualitative designs for therapeutic case research as a health scientist and depth psychologist.

Since 2019 he has been supervising courses at the SFU Vienna and the University of Graz.

He is married, has two children and a grandfather.
