Peter Däppen is a Swiss curler and Olympic champion .
Däppen was a substitute for the Swiss team at the XVI. 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville in curling. Skip Urs Dick's team won the Olympic gold medal after a 7-6 win in the final against Norway under Skip Tormod Andreassen . Since curling was still a demonstration sport at that time, the medal has no official status.
