Peter Elkmann

Peter Elkmann (born September 16, 1981 in Steinfurt ) is a German racing driver and lives in Steinfurt.

Career

Karting

Peter Elkmann drove kart races from 1994 to 2003 and won several titles. During this time he was once vice-European champion in the ICC class and Italian vice-champion in the same class. He won the ICC class again in the 2003 JVO series and was twice Dutch kart champion. From 2003 he drove a super kart and took pole position in the 2004 European super kart. This was followed by promotion to Formula 3 and he took pole position in his first race. From June 2004 he was engaged as a driver for the Swiss Racing Team in the Formula 3 Euro Series .

Formula 3

2005 Formula 3 winner of the Recaro Formula 3 Cup with the Jo Zeller Racing team and again in the Euro Series in 2006 with the Jo Zeller Racing team. In 2008, Peter Elkmann became the first German super kart European champion in division 1. From 2014 to 2017 he won the French super kart championship four times in a row and was twice vice European champion (2015 and 2016), before winning the European super kart title again in 2017 to secure. After Jarno Trulli, Peter Elkmann is the second who made it from the kart to Formula 3 without stopping.
