Peter Gloor

Peter Gloor is a Swiss geography and media didactician . He has been teaching media didactics at the University of Zurich since 1997 and for decades he has worked as a geography teacher at various universities of teacher education in Switzerland.

Gloor grew up in Aarau . He became known through the Aargau sources and stream inventory. In 1983/84, together with more than 100 employees, he inventoried all Aargau rivers and springs as part of his academic training and as deputy editor-in-chief of the magazine Naturally from 1986 to 1990. As a journalist and editor, he was the magazine's production manager. He wrote many articles on environmental issues in the 1980s. As president of the Aarauer Bachverein, the city of Aarau awarded him the environmental award in 1997. He worked as a teacher at various schools, mainly at the old canton school in Aarau. Since 1993 he has worked in teacher training at the former higher educational institution in Zofingen, at the didactic in Aarau, at the University of Zurich.
