Peter Grütter (born June 30, 1942 in Bern ) is a former Swiss figure skater and now works as a figure skating coach.

biography

Peter Grütter was trained by Jacques Gerschwiler . He took part in the 1964 Winter Olympics and was 24. In the same year he ended his active career and later became a figure skating coach. In this position he successfully coached his compatriot Stéphane Lambiel from 1995 to 2008 and led him to two world championship titles and three vice European championship titles as well as the vice Olympic victory in Turin in 2006. In 2009, he also helped his protégé Samuel Contesti at the European championships in Turin Helsinki.
