Peter K. Thomas

Peter K. Thomas (born June 13, 1914 ; † February 28, 1990 ) was a teacher and dentist in Los Angeles who was particularly active in performing dental procedures for Hollywood celebrities in the 1960s .

Life

Thomas graduated from the University of Southern California in 1939 . He is one of the co-founders of Gnathology . On November 18, 1975, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Ostrow School of Dentistry.

The wax-up technique according to Peter K. Thomas ("gnathological occlusion") was described as "a restoration with high artistic accuracy" and is characterized by a one-tooth-to-one-tooth relationship. Each working cusp of the posterior teeth meets the fossa of the antagonist. Three-point contacts are aimed for (tripodization). The contact points are on the cusp slopes.
