Peter Kelling
Peter Kelling († February 4, 2006 in Mallorca ) was a German police officer, sports and football official.
Peter Kelling was a policeman with the Hamburg police for 40 years, where he ended up holding the rank of director and spokesman for the Hamburg police. In addition to his professional activity, he volunteered. The the SC Victoria Hamburg belonging Kelling belonged since 1982 the Presidium of the Hamburg Sports Confederation of (HSB). From 1982 to 1992 and 1997 to 2006 he was responsible for special tasks there. He belonged to various commissions and working groups, including:
- HSB structural reform 2005/2006
- Vice President of the Hamburg Football Association
- Security chief of the Hamburg World Cup stadium
- Member of the safety committee of the German Football Association
- Advisory board of the North German Football Association and the DFB
Kelling wanted to fill fewer positions after a first heart attack, but died while on vacation in Mallorca, leaving behind a wife and two sons.
