Peter Kreutz (lawyer)

Peter Kreutz (born November 28, 1939 in Darmstadt ) is a German legal scholar. Until his retirement in 2005, he was a full professor at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel , where he held the chair for civil law, labor law, business law, labor and company law. His main research interests are labor law and company law.

Kreutz studied law at the universities of Frankfurt am Main and Mainz , where he received his doctorate in 1970 with a thesis on antitrust law. In 1978 he also completed his habilitation in Mainz. His habilitation thesis on labor law is entitled Limits of “Operational Autonomy”.

In 1978 Kreutz was appointed university professor at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz . In 1979 he accepted a call to the Free University of Berlin , and in 1980 he finally accepted a call to the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel .
