Peter Riis Andersen

Peter Riis Andersen (born July 25, 1980 ) is a Danish racing cyclist .

Peter Riis Andersen was the 2001 Danish U23 cyclocross champion . After becoming national runner-up on mountain bikes in 2003, he took the championship title in 2004 and 2005. In 2006 he was runner-up again. At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, he took part in the cross-country race on a mountain bike. In total, Riis Andersen came on the podium nine times at Danish championships in the various disciplines and age groups. He has been driving for the Continental Team GLS since 2007 . At the Ringerike Grand Prix he was able to decide a stage for himself. At the 2008 European Mountain Bike Marathon in Albstadt , he finished second and won his first international medal.

doping

On July 28, 2008, it was announced that Riis Andersen had tested positive for EPO . The driver has admitted his offense and was immediately fired by his Alb-Gold team. Due to this offense, the sponsor Alb Gold dropped out of sponsorship at the end of 2008 and the team had to be dissolved.
