Sindia is a place on the edge of the Planargia in the province of Nuoro in the Italian region of Sardinia with 1671 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019).

Sindia is 70 km west of Nuoro and 12 km west of Macomer . The neighboring communities are Macomer, Pozzomaggiore and Semestene (all SS ), as well as Sagama , Scano di Montiferro and Suni (all OR ). Close by are the giant tomb of Furrighesu , the dolmen of Nela and a destroyed nuraghe .

Sindia has a station on the narrow-gauge Macomer – Bosa railway , which is served by Trenino Verde in the summer months .

To the east of Sindia is the country church of Santa Maria di Corte , a side aisle of the abbey church of the former Cistercian monastery of Cabuabbas . The church is a stop of the Trenino Verde .
