Bortigali is a place in the province of Nuoro in the Italian region of Sardinia with 1286 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019).

Bortigali is 50 km west of Nuoro . Not far from the village is the well-preserved Orolo Nuraghe and the Aidu Entos Nuraghe with a Latin inscription.

The neighboring communities are: Birori , Bolotana , Dualchi , Macomer and Silanus .

Bortigali is the birthplace of the bishop of Nuoro and Lanusei , Antonio Mura .
