Mamoiada is a place in the province of Nuoro in the Italian region of Sardinia with 2472 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019).

Mamoiada is 18 km south of Nuoro .

The neighboring municipalities are Fonni , Gavoi , Nuoro , Ollolai , Orani , Orgosolo and Sarule .

Sa Perda Pinta is a menhir that is not far from Via Nuoro, northwest of Mamoiada. Sa 'e Mazzozzo and the Stele di Garaunele are further of the rare prehistoric relics with cup-and-ring markings on the island in the village area.

The village is known for its traditional, original carnival masks, which are worn by the so-called "Mamuthones" and "Issohadores" and are popular with tourists.
